Surf Rodeo

Surf Rodeo draws 30,000+ to the coast. At that size a single ATM becomes a queue, and a queue at the beer garden is an operations problem. We split the grounds into three cash jobs: tickets, beer garden, and food court.

Each machine was loaded for peak gates and watched through the day so a cassette in the food court could not silently empty while the entrance unit still looked fine. Zero downtime was the brief — not “we’ll send someone tomorrow.”

Large outdoor festivals are a placement puzzle: three right spots beat five random ones. We still quote Surf-Rodeo-scale events with a map of gates and spend, not a count of cabinets.
